How to draw route?
Draw segment along existing ways/waterways
  1. Tap the Menu button. ()
  2. Tap "Edit My Trail". (The app will open the last route or create the first route automatically.)
  3. Zoom the map to an area.
  4. Select a draw tool. ()
  5. Inside the "Drawing Area", touch the screen and move along the ways/waterways.
Draw arbitrary segment
  1. Tap the Menu button. ()
  2. Tap "Edit My Trail". (The app will open the last route or create the first route automatically.)
  3. Select a draw tool. ()
  4. Inside the "Drawing Area", touch the screen and move around. (The app will simplify the segment.)
Extend segment
  1. [Need to prepare a segment first.]
  2. Select a draw tool. ( or )
  3. Inside the "Drawing Area", touch and move a handle. ()
Cut segment
  1. [Need to prepare a segment first.]
  2. Select a draw tool. ()
  3. Inside the "Drawing Area", touch the middle part of a segment, and move. The segment will be cut into two segments.
Join segments

  3. Inside the "Drawing Area", touch a handle, and move the handle near a handle for another segment. ()
Erase part of a segment

Remove a whole segment

  1. Open the page of a trail, like Aberdeen Fitness Trail.
  2. Tap the QR code under "Import to Hiking Trail HK".
  3. When the import dialog appears, enter the name, and tap "Save".

Import from file
  1. Open the "Files" app.
  2. Open an exported GPX file.
  3. Tap the share button at the lower left corner.
  4. Select "Copy to Hiking Trail HK".
  5. Enter the name, and tap "Save".

How to calculate route length, elevation gain, and estimate time?
  1. [Need to display a route in the map first.]
  2. Use two fingers to tap two points in a route to select a segment. (You can also select a route first, and then move the handles A and B to select a segment.) ()
  3. Tap "Profile".
  4. In the "Elevation Profile", you can check the "Horizontal/Slope Length", "Min/Max Elevation", "Elevation Gain/Loss", and "Estimated Time" of the segment.
  5. You can modify "Flat Speed" and "Climb Speed" speed to estimate time.
How to use GPS?
Turn on GPS
  1. Tap the GPS button. ()
  2. Wait until your position appears in the map. (Faster if you are in open area, and turn on the data connection. Reboot your phone and try again if you wait too long, or if wrong positions appear too long.)
Lock GPS

Close track logger
